This single-phase transformer has unique features and has been produced by Arya Transfo Industrial Group for Maad Ferroalloy Company  jointly with C.E.M Industrial Transformers of ltaly, which specializes in the design and supervision of industrial transformers.

A bank of three transformers, configured as a three-phase system for the melting process, forms a delta arrangement on the primary and secondary sides and directs a current of 126 kA toward the graphite electrodes. High electrical current on the secondary side, intense magnetic fields, relatively severe thermal and mechanical stresses, and a relatively low power factor are among the factors that place these transformers in the category of special transformers.

• These operating conditions necessitate that the design, material selection, equipment, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning of these transformers follow specific rules and requirements.
